Here is a nice photo that helps promote the idea of music in as many rooms in your home as you would like. Sonos offers 'powered' speakers that can simply connect to your wall's power outlet. They offer very nice sound quality with very little in the way of installation. Nice. Easy.
Also in the photo is a concept of the Sonos Playbar (their name for a soundbar), connected to your flat screen television. The companion SUB (subwoofer) gives you that deep low bass that helps add excitement to your favorite movies. We can install the Playbar on the wall, just underneath the television. Or, if you TV rests on a cabinet or credenza the Playbar can simply set in front of the television on it's back. Don't worry, regardless of whether it is installed horizontally or vertically the Sonos internal computer pushes the music out of the nine speakers and amplifiers accordingly. All you do is listen!
In addition, Sonos manufacturers components that can connect directly to your current stereo/home theater receiver and another that will connect to standard speakers such as from Paradigm and MartinLogan. There are many options and each room of your home may be set up with different components, with the end result is great sounding music in each room. By the way, you can start with just one room, Sonos does not have to be in every room initially although you will probably want to add rooms as time goes by.
